FAQ

Questions, answered plainly.

The questions we hear most, with the dates and figures checked against the official sources. If yours is not here, ask it on the contact page and we will answer within one business day.

General

Do you only work with clients in Atlanta?

No. We are based in metro Atlanta and work virtually with clients across Georgia and in other states where we can serve you properly. In-person meetings are available by special request.

Are you a CPA firm?

No. EZ Financial Fitness is not a CPA firm, and our founder is not a certified public accountant. The firm is led by an accountant with a Master of Science in Accounting who is a QuickBooks ProAdvisor Level 1. We prepare individual tax returns, keep books and build tax strategies, and we will tell you plainly when a question belongs with an attorney, a CPA for audited financial statements, or another specialist.

What happens after I ask for a consultation?

You get a personal reply within one business day with two or three times for the call. The consultation is a complimentary 20-minute conversation. If we are a fit, you receive a written recommendation and proposal, usually within one business day of the call.

Taxes and deadlines

When is my 2026 tax return due?

Thursday, April 15, 2027. An extension moves the filing deadline to Friday, October 15, 2027, but any tax owed is still due April 15. Georgia honors a federal extension automatically.

Do I need to make quarterly estimated tax payments?

Generally, if you expect to owe $1,000 or more in federal tax after withholding and credits. Georgia has its own test based on income not subject to withholding. The final payment for 2026 is due Friday, January 15, 2027. We calculate your amounts as part of tax strategy or a standalone projection. We do not send generic numbers.

What is the difference between tax preparation and tax strategy?

Preparation reports what already happened and files it accurately. Strategy decides what should happen before the year closes, such as contributions, entity and payroll choices, estimated payments and timing, and writes it down with deadlines. Preparation looks backward. Strategy looks forward.

I have not filed for a few years. Can you help?

Yes, and you are not alone. We prepare prior-year and late returns and tell you exactly which years can be e-filed and which must be signed and mailed. Refund claims generally must be filed within three years of the original due date, so it is worth starting now.

Will you tell me how much I will save?

We will show you the estimated effect of each strategy along with its cost, cash requirement and paperwork, and we will not promise a number we cannot support. Good planning is about after-tax results and cash flow, not just deductions.

Bookkeeping and QuickBooks

What does monthly bookkeeping include?

Reconciled bank and credit-card accounts, categorized transactions, a profit and loss statement and balance sheet, and a short written review of what happened and what to watch. Typically you send statements and answer questions by the fifth business day and receive reports by the fifteenth.

Do I have to use QuickBooks Online?

It is our standard and we are strongest in it, but we will look at what you have. If you are on a spreadsheet or another system, the consultation covers whether to switch. You keep your own QuickBooks subscription and own your data.

Client Portal and payments

How do I send you documents?

Through the EZ Financial Fitness Client Portal, never by email. The portal encrypts uploads, lets you photograph documents from your phone, and keeps everything in one place. The website contact form is for questions only. Please do not attach tax documents to it.

What is the Client Portal, and why does it mention TaxDome?

The portal is where you upload documents, complete your organizer, sign, pay invoices, message us securely and see the status of your work. It is powered by TaxDome, a secure platform used by accounting firms, so you may see that name on the sign-up page, the mobile app and system emails.

How much does it cost?

It depends on complexity, which is why every engagement starts with a written proposal showing the exact price before any work begins.

How do I pay?

Service invoices are paid in the Client Portal by bank transfer or card, and bank transfer is encouraged. We never see or store card numbers.

Formation

Can you help me form an LLC in Georgia?

Yes. We support the Secretary of State filing, EIN, state tax registrations and the financial setup that follows. Georgia's filing fee is $110 and the annual registration is $60 (due January 1 to April 1). We explain how structures are taxed. We do not give legal advice.

Dates and figures last verified October 4, 2026. We re-verify every January and July.

EZ Financial Fitness, LLC is not a CPA firm, and our founder is not a certified public accountant.
